Degree in Medicine: Evaluation and Practice


Medical students perform some practical activities (seminars, clinical sessions) in English. International perspective through special sessions with visiting professors and speakers from international institutions of reference in the field of medicine is incorporated, where Nursing Club comes as a helping hand.

Medical studies are a paradigm of the promise of comprehensive training, scientific, technical, cultural and human, that college life offers. In response to these expectations, we have developed a balanced project that has involved a large group of clinical experts and teachers. The program was created with the aim of becoming an emblem of our university and achieve an outstanding quality identity between the Spanish university offers, in a few years.

Participate in training future doctor’s fills us with hope, and we want to do with our own model, staff and learner-centered dimension. Its main objective will accompany you with the most appropriate to your requirements at any time during the exciting path of personal and professional maturity that you will undertake if you choose this career technical and human resources.

The degree in Medicine has as its main objective the integral formation of future doctors to practical-clinical, scientific and human level so that students can achieve the social commitment that this profession requires and excellence in the performance of their professional practice.

Medical students should receive throughout their career training in university teaching that is based on the combination of theoretical and scientific teachings with clinical practice in the most diverse health institutions, from public hospitals and primary health centers to hospitals and private clinics.
Clinical training program is based on early and repeated exposure to supervised practice by tutors specially trained teachers and evaluative skills. These practices are carried out in a wide variety of clinical settings (hospitals, health centers, social and health centers, emergency, etc.), both public and private, so that students know all the realities of the health system. Educational research has shown the many benefits of early clinical experience in professional and personal profile of medical students. In our program, such activities gradually and with specific methods start from the first weeks of the race.

Early clinical immersion is exceptional. Our colleagues from other universities do not have the opportunity to open a medical as soon as practical and we with the sole task of observing we could rotate through many of the services that healing currently offers. The truth is that, until we see a real patient, who suffers, who feels and suffers not really know what your true vocation.


Regarding clinical experience I can only say it has been a very rich experience, both at the level of observation, professional display as we want to be. I also think that is a motivation that so early have contact with what will be our professional reality as well as a benefit in our training that since the beginning shows us that work with patients, with people and not with clusters of symptoms to diagnose and treat.  The draft early clinical immersion has met all my expectations, exceeding them by far and I believe that this experience has made us grow as people, as we have had to face not always easy situations and has prepared us to so deal with success on the next steps of our long journey in our training.
